An addendum to my earlier review - two of three teas that I ordered spilled due to cracked plastic cups during the takeout trip back, but the Thai Iced tea that survived the delivery received great reviews from the person who ordered it. The store deserves credit for making things right by offering a credit to return to try the ones that leaked. I look forward to trying more options from Steep!

YUMMY! Tried their Pitaya acai bowl (dragonfruit) and it's worth the few bucks. Definitely will be coming back for more. Their service is very friendly and was helped by a sweet young girl who helped me pick this acai bowl! Highly recommend coming with family and friends.

Awesome boba. Straight up. Great little spot next to the 4th and King station!

I've been here a couple of times and so far it's all been good. The service is on point sometimes it takes longer than other bubble tea/boba places but not by much they usually don't have as much staff working as other shops so the slightly longer times are justified. I only wish they had a more extensive menu and were open on the weekends then I would have no reason to go elsewhere.

Steep does their milk teas right. The Thai milk tea was perfectly sweet without being overpowering; I could still taste the tea through the creamy Straus milk. This is probably one of the best milk teas I've ever had.

Looking for a tea-rrific beverage place? Look no further because STEEP has you covered from coffee, lattes and espresso to flavored tea, milk tea, and matcha tea. If that doesn't make you feel naugh-tea than you best be ready to be smacked with tasty meal options such as acai bowls, pitaya bowls, and matcha bowls. A much tastier option than the actual Super Bowl that America has come to love, if you ask me.

So, what are you waiting for? Let's get this par-tea started!

I was in the SoMA area doing a drug test for my new job, and I wanted something not too heavy to eat. While searching around, I came upon this little neat shop. I have always like eating acai bowls, but I have never heard of pitaya bowls before. It was very tasty. The texture of the blended fruits was so smooth and delicious. They gave excellent ratios among the pitaya blend, granola, and whole fruits. By the time I finished the bowl, I wanted more!

Additionally, after tasting the pitaya bowl, I was interested in their boba. I ordered an iced matcha latte with boba (of course). It was pretty good; I could actually taste the matcha flavor unlike some other shops. Now for the boba---it was perfect texture! Not too soft, not too hard. I'd say that's some high quality boba. The drink wasn't that sweet, but it is probably because I ate the pitaya bowl beforehand.

I have read several comments about regarding the price of this shop, and I disagree with them on their thoughts of the "high" prices of their drinks. Their drinks are not even expensive. It is a pretty reasonable price to pay especially since IT IS SAN FRANCISCO people.

While the acai and pitaya bowls seem pricey at US$8.25 each, they are served in a big bowl, with a helping of banana, sliced strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, coconut shavings and granola. Well worth it for the large serving and deliciousness! Perfect for that post-workout fuel or mid-day pick-me-up. Limited seating inside along the front window, so more of a take-away sort of place, with a few chairs outside. Will definitely return for my acai bowl fix!

Green Goodness at STEEP is always my favorite. Mix veggies blend could be heavy, but then they put all the ingredients in the right way. $6 is reasonable for a huge green goodness (24 onz). I guess i will go grab the same thing more often since its too addictive.

I honestly think this place is underrated.
I've had my fair share of aa bowls/pitaya bowls from various locations from chains to local shops. However, I swear NOTHING comes close to STEEP's bowls. The price is amazing for the quantity and quality that they offer. Their aa/pitaya bowls are $8.25. The matcha bowl is $9.25 I believe.

I've tried all of their bowls before but my favorite is the Pitaya Bowl. It's healthy, completely PLANT-BASED (for all the vegans out there), sweet (but not too sweet), packed with a variety of fruits and a delicious granola, and last but not least Insta-worthy!

If you really want them to spiff it up an extra level for the gram, just let them know beforehand that you want to snap a picture because during busy hours they may not have time to be extra (which is totally understandable).

Ugh, and if you're a boba lover like myself...you'll definitely love it here.
    Just take all my money!!

P.S. They are super dog friendly and provide doggy treats too!

Got the blended matcha. Strong tea flavor and the consistency was spot on. Definitely dropping by again.

  • *****

Cool new coffee / boba shop. Coffee was good, haven't had their boba. They don't have lids for the small coffee cups, which makes it a little hard to take an Americano to go.

  • *****

Super yummy mango coconut boba tea! Not too sweet with the subtle taste of mango and coconut. Can't wait to come back and try more stuff.

My sample size of one visit to STEEP has be looking forward to more. The small coffee, juice and tea shop just opened today. I stopped in this morning and ordered a delicious Acai cup. (For the record, an acai cup is just like an acai bowl, only in a big cup instead of a bowl... which makes it easier to eat on the go.) With a variety of different drinks on the menu and even some sweets at the display counter, I think this new spot is going to be a nice addition to the neighborhood.

  • *****

This place is pretty cool. I went to meet a client nearby and made the mistake of wearing a suit and riding a bike on a hot day.. passed by this place and it seemed cool. I ordered a cucumber juice thing for whatever the reason was. Maybe to punish myself.. I don't know but it was bitter and healthy tasting but overall refreshing .. my gripe is this.. the cool guy in front of me in line.. . I guess this place let's you choose the percentage of sweetness and ice in your drink..while a novel idea might prolong some orders.. case in point.. .. the guy in front of me sounded like he was a chemistry dr. Or a pharmacist. He wanted .. 20 %sweetness 30% ice and a 70% milk to tea ratio. The nice guy at the counter then brings the order back .. .. then the customer goes .. no let me change that .. he then proceeds to change the ratios by 5% to 8% each.. this took about 8 min. How did I know the time ?? Cause I'n my annoyance, I watched a 8 minute video of a corgi swimming on you tube. Oh yeah to cap it off. This guy wasn't ordering some exotic dragon fruit mixed berry energy drink. He ordered plain old milk tea.. anyways .. this place is cool .. guy in front of me that was more than likely not a chemist or a pharmacist that made a simple drink overly complicated.. not cool I hope your milk to tea ratio is 5 % higher than what you wanted.

Super stoked that this little unassuming tea shop popped up in SOMA. Finally! Haven't tried their coffee yet but their teas are SOLID. The boba was a bit sweet and squishy the very first week they opened but within the first week they quickly upped their boba game. Keep up the good work STEEP! Really want you guys to stick around!

  • *****

Absolutely delectable jasmine milk tea! I am an avid milk team addict and few establishments have been able to satisfy my craving. It is great to see a cafe nearby where I can get quench my tea cravings! The tea flavor really shines through in their drinks - something that few places today can claim. This definitely will not be the last visit! Cannot wait to their other drinks!

  • *****

Sweet and small place. Great tea (mango and coconut smoothie was awesome!) and very kind staff!

  • *****

Stopped by on their opening day to grab a large coffee. They brew equator, and at $2.45, it was really good!

Definitely worth a try if you're in the area. I'll be back

  • *****

Delicious! Got a jasmine milk tea with boba. Would love to be able to request real whole milk instead of non-dairy creamer (which is fake stuff like corn syrup etc.). First reason to leave the office and walk a quarter block :)

  • *****

So excited STEEP opened right around the corner from my office! Great spot for breakfast, lunch, or an afternoon pick-me-up. I have been a few times since they opened. This morning, I had their dragonfruit cup, which comes with hemp seed granola and fruit on top. It is $8, which is pretty affordable compared to some other acai/dragonfruit bowls in SF. They also have a decent selection of baked goods--I have had their brownies a number of times. Looking forward to trying some of their other offerings!

  • *****

Good choice for boba drink in SOMA.

  • *****

cute lil hole in the wall cafe. friendly/helpful staff members. i got the chrysanthemum tea with crystal boba and it is such a good mix. the tea isn't too sweet and it satisfies my craving ^_^

  • *****

Amazing hole in the wall cafe! Loved the acai bowl and matcha latte. Not a lot of seating but it does have some both indoor and outdoor. WiFi was good too!

  • *****

Cute hidden coffee shop! I just got the cold brew and my brother got the Vietnamese coffee (hot). Both were just average! It sounds like their boba drinks are good so maybe I should come back for that.. but what drew me here was that they have Acai and Pitaya cups! It was a little early for me so I didn't order that. I gotta try it next time though.

  • *****

Finally a good Bubble tea spot in SOMA! Not opened on the evenings or on weekends unfortunately so all of their customers must work in the area. Tea quality is strong and good. Bubbles are a bit hard on the chewy scale but still good and sweet. You can customize sweetness and ice level and there is a loyalty card! The Oolong milk tea is good.

  • *****

Originally I came here for an acai bowl, but ended up going with the pitaya (dragon fruit) cup and it was delicious! The cup is topped with fresh blueberries, strawberries, bananas and granola. Perfect for a healthy breakfast/lunch! I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a solid Acai bowl in SOMA.

  • *****

I stopped here on Monday afternoon specifically looking for the acai bowl and it did not disappoint! The presentation was appetizing (topped with apple slices, grapes, raspberries, blueberries and granola) and the portion size was huge. Mine was served in a bowl, not a cup. I will definitely be returning for future acai bowls!

  • *****

I love this place! Everything is natural including the fruit syrups they use. They are quick and have a good rewards program as well (buy 10 get one free).

  • *****

Jasmine milk tea or Thai tea with lychee jelly is my go to. The milk tea isn't very sweet. It's a pretty good and typical milk tea fair. I usually frequent this place and come by with coworker in the afternoon if I feel hungry after a light lunch.

  • *****

    Came here for the matcha.

I've been here a couple times since my office is only a few blocks away. My takeaways if you like match and sweet I'd go for the blended matcha, just the right amount of sweet and matcha-y goodness. I've also tried the matcha milk tea (take out the red bean) but it wasn't as sweet so it wasn't the afternoon pick me up that I wanted it to be. You know the kind where you're jumping in your chair and your coworkers yell at you to calm down? :)

They offer punch cards so every 10th drink is free! I think it's a little bit more expensive than ShareTea and their menu is a bit more limited but they also serve up Equator coffee and have small pastries.

  • *****

Boba is great, their drinks are not too sweet, just the perfect amount. Pitaya cup is generous and filling, yet delicious! They also have chia seeds if you want a healthier alternative to tapioca. Owners are so nice! Go there and support small local businesses!

  • *****

Had to try out Steep after hearing such great things and they did not let me down. The menu looks small but once you get in it's hard to make a decision because everything sounds so good! Also, everything comes in 24oz which is nice. I had the coconut smoothie with boba which had real coconut in it which was an unexpected surprise :) Had the chance to meet the owners who work there and they're so friendly, helpful, and nice! Location is chill and definitely a great spot to work. Can't wait to go back and try more!

  • *****

Great snack spot in SOMA for coffee, tea drinks, or a beautiful pitaya/acai bowl! They also serve a matcha energy bowl which I've never see anywhere else! They really do pack a lot of goodness and content into each parfait or bowl that you order so you definitely get your money's worth. Would highly recommend for those who are living or working in SOMA :)

  • *****

Not bad but kind of odd that they are closed after 5pm on weekdays and all day on sat-sun. I ordered a classic milk tea with boba and it was ok. Boba guys, Plentea, and Sharetea are better, but this place is more convenient if you are in the Soma area. I'd go here again but it only makes sense if you are working in the area due to their hours.

  • *****

Wanted to bump this place up to 5 stars. Great drinks and more importantly great service, with a lot of local competition the service here is what keeps myself, friends and colleagues returning here.

  • *****

Unique flavors, well balanced, and delicious!

Much faster than ShareTea, in case you don't want to wait for 40 minutes.

  • *****

I'm so excited there's finally a boba shop in SOMA! Its a little tiny but feels really warm and cozy. Lots of selections and awesome customer service. I keep coming back for more drinks, love their roasted oolong milk tea & jasmine milk tea (both very strong tea flavor), green goodness (caffeine free juice), chrysanthemum tea (the bomb) , and their new matcha red bean milk tea. And lastly, their pitaya. For $8, you get a 24oz pitaya steep cup layered with granola and fresh fruits. It's better than having a salad! Just as filling and healthy. Can't believe I'm finding so many drinks I like all in one store! Must try!

  • *****

The latest addition to the Ritch Alley food scene, STEEP fills in the gap with this well-needed bubble tea menu. Of course you can also get coffee, but really, why bother with so many tea options? I go for the roasted oolong with milk and add tapioca balls for 50 cents. It's about $4.50 for 24 ounces but really goes down quick. You can control the amount of sugar, but I feel no sugar added is fine because the tapioca has some. There are tables to sit outside and it's a great spot to meet friend or dive in solo. Good job on the grand opening!

  • *****

This isn't your average boba spot. You can tell that their milk tea isn't generic. You can never go wrong with jasmine milk tea. Also, the "regular" sweetness level is just right! This place is worth waiting in line for.

  • *****

I'm so happy that we finally have a boba place in SoMa! It's very clean and the service is wonderful. It gets really crowded during lunch and the price is extremely reasonable. The only negative thing is that their boba is a little on the sweeter side (just the tapioca ball itself) and that they are only a Mon-Fri shop. I wish they were open on thw weekends but I guess its not enough business generated on the weekend for them to be open.

Other than that, I highly recommend Steep!

  • *****

Came here two days in a row so they haven't disappointed!

Very cute tea/coffee shop in this hidden alleyway where Two Fish Baking used to be. I like the unique menu, although it seems a bit random... they range from coffees and popular tea flavors (green, oolong, chai, black), specialty tea flavors, and then acai/dragon fruit cups.

Acai cup is pretty good actually. The colors are beautiful, but I do wish they give you more toppings (more granola, more fruit, honey, whatever). Portion size is quite generous and it's not bad for $8. I've also had the peach oolong tea which is really good! You actually taste the oolong tea, and it's hard to say that about most tea places. Slightly sweet percentage is actually slightly sweet and they'll remake your tea for you if you're not happy.

Great place to take a break from work and I know I'll be coming back more often!

  • *****

Love this place for an afternoon pick-me-up. Great service. Love that I can control the sugar content.

Wish they had the apple pay/card reader more prominently placed.

  • *****

Thank goodness my manager discovered this place near our office! Their tea is really high quality and not too badly priced. Also, it hasn't been easy finding boba around this area. I'm a big fan of the chrysanthemum tea. I'll be back often. =]

  • *****

Found this place on a whim while browsing through yelp, as one does, and I can not be any more impressed. I ordered two bowl/cups, one acai and one pitaya so my coworker and I could indulge at work because it's busy and I knew he'd be hungry soon so delivery was the only option here.

I'm so glad I looked through the pictures on here because I definitely would have missed this delight. The pitaya bowl is rich and creamy with the added bonus of the crunch from the granola. The honey is terrifically blended in for a touch of sweetness that complements the whole thing.

The presentation is amazing! The acai is a rich blue/violet color and the pitaya, a beautiful fuchsia hue. The fresh fruit, granola, and coconut shreds are perfect as the fruits add a combination of color. I do taste more banana in the pitaya bowl (I took the fresh fruit off the top so I wouldn't make a mess and for easier access), but notes of the dragon fruit peek through with every spoonful.

I will definitely make the time to come here so that I could personally check out the menu. I highly recommend this treasure.

  • *****

I'm new in the area and my new coworkers told me about this amazing place, so I HAD to try it. First time walking in, girl at the cashier greeted me. She was very sharp and knowledgeable about their menu. The menu is a little small but I like it. I really wanted an acai or pitaya bowl after looking at their stunning pictures. I just had a light lunch so I decided to go with the pitaya smoothie. OMG it was amazing, it filled me up! My coworkers asked me to get them some boba drinks too, their favorites were the roasted oolong milk tea w boba, iced matcha latte with soy milk.

  • *****

I've been wanting to try this since forever and finally I had the chance today. This place is a little too far for me though since it's like in the middle of no where haha. It was a windy day today so I wasn't expecting it to have so many people in line but there were a lot of people. Most of the people already ordered and we're waiting for their drinks. Me and my ordered a pitaya steep cup but split into two because we wanted to try to first and the whole thing looks like it's a little too much. Took like 20 minutes since it was so busy so it was understandable. Took my first bite and oh my was it delicious. It tastes like Jamba Juice's pitaya bowl but this one was sweeter and had a thinner texture. I think I'd prefer this one more because it's a lot more creamier since they blend in a banana inside. The vibe in here is very chill but it's also loud since there's so many people here which really surprised me since it's on a quiet block. I would come back next time to try their milk tea especially their matcha latte since it's really popular. This is my new obsession as of today.

  • *****

Yum yum yum! I ordered the 24oz Pitaya cup ($8) and boy was it delicious! The presentation is beautiful too! The bottom of the cup was lined with granola and the cup was topped with freshly sliced fruits and more granola! They have a stamp card system so after 9 drink/cup purchases your 10th one is free! They interior is clean and modern, and they also serve equator coffee. I highly recommend dropping by! :)

  • *****

I ordered a classic Thai milk tea and boy was it refreshing. The place is tiny - there were only three small tables available and I think it's meant more as a to go spot. Prices were fair, not bad considering this is soma, so I would go back again.

  • *****

What a cute little boba/coffee shop in soma!

I was going for a quick walk around the block after eating lunch when I decided to stop by here for drink. The shop itself is tiny, but feels very modern.

The Thai tea ($3.75, one size) was pretty good - a little milker than I'm used to though. Will definitely have to come back and try some of their other drinks!

  • *****

Though STEEP is kind of hard to find at first, being a small hole in the wall place between 3rd and 4th street, it's conveniently near the AT&T park. Service is friendly and fast-- though there was a line reaching out the door when I got there, I ordered my drink within 5 minutes.
The peach oolong milk tea I got was delicious! Not too sweet, no powdery taste. The boba (an extra 50 cents) was chewy enough. I'll be going back next time to try the acai bowls!

  • *****

Angela, the owner is awesome. It's so nice to have an acai/boba place in Soma. I find myself walking their every day I'm in town to get a nice acai bowl and love that they put all this bonus fresh fruit on top. I even add boba to the acai bowl, which probably isn't as healthy but it is delicious. This place can get packed but it is worth the wait.

  • *****

Love the milk tea, green smoothies & lattes here!

Reasonable pricing and the staff are very nice, especially the ladies!

A regular spot for me. And they offer a punch card!

  • *****

I was sad to see Twofish Baking Company close but ever since STEEP opened, I can't stop raving about it to everyone i know.

I'm not a coffee guzzler so when I need a caffeine pick-me-up, I usually turn to tea. Thanks so STEEP, I am no longer limited to paying a 10x premium for hot water and a tea bag which I could make myself at home. STEEP offers a variety of hot teas (from steeping full leaves/flowers), fruit teas made with real fruit, and asian milk teas! My favorites are their jasmine milk tea and chrysanthemum tea ($3.50) as well as their delicious pitaya cup ($8), all of which come in a 24 oz cup and are very reasonably priced for the value.

Pick up one of their loyalty cards and you can get a free drink of your choice after purchasing 9 drinks (excluding coffee).

  • *****

As someone who loves acai bowls, I was super happy to find this spot! Had their pitaya bowl with almond butter, and it was light and refreshing! Would've liked more/nutty granola, but overall it was good for the price point and size. Will have to try their acai bowl and boba drinks next time!

  • *****

I found this place only recently! All these times I could've avoided Postmate boba delivery to my office and just walked here.

I had a Mango tea with half sweetness and boba (I don't get full sweetness from a lot of places anymore), but I should've gotten regular. It was good, but definitely on the less sweet side. The boba taste and texture were great though! Better than most that I've had before.

The place is a nice sit down away from the traffic of Brannan; you can actually hear yourself think and chat with people. They offer a wide variety of things, from Equator coffee to teas to acai/pitaya bowls and pastries (pastries seem a bit dry, but I come here for acai and boba!).

The acai bowls are huge!! Great deal for $8, and you get a lot out of it. It has a variety of berries, melon, strawberries and bananas, topped with hempseed granola and almonds. I was very happy with it! Definitely coming back.

  • *****

I've only tried this place and Boba Guys so far in SF when it comes to boba, but this drink is by far my favorite compared to Boba Guys' Lavender Tea! It's the Roasted Oolong milk tea with boba and coconut jelly, and it just hits the spot. Definitely coming back here the next chance I get

  • *****

I'm a boba-holic, and STEEP's black milk tea is currently at the top of my artisan boba list. Surprisingly, I even find their sprouted chia seeds an acceptable substitute for boba so I'm not downing tapioca on the daily. The pitaya fruit cup is also amazing--bananas, berries, granola--but if you're like me you might need some extra crunch at the end. Their Green Goodness juice is a game-changer; grapes in a greens juice... who knew! Plus who doesn't love a rewards card?

Everyone I work with with is obsessed, and we will single-handedly make sure STEEP is here to stay.

  • *****

Legit boba drinks. I've had the black milk tea and the matcha red bean milk tea and both were flavorful and fresh. They don't skimp on the boba and they don't overload on the ice. Super friendly staff as well. It is a bit on the sweeter side so I'd suggest ordering a percentage level lower than you usually would.

  • *****

Small coffee shop located in a small street in soma! limited seating, so not somewhere you would come to work on your laptop. I ordered the acai cup and my friend got the papaya cup. I like the acai better, and I'm definitely coming back for more!! Acai ya later!

  • *****

I usually go for milk tea at tapioca places but my favorite drinks here so far are the Thai tea and chrysanthemum tea. The line is usually out the door everytime I come here, but this is the most convenient boba location for me. Plus the staff is friendly!

  • *****

Great mix of high quality coffee and superfood treats. Will have to come back and try their salads next time.

  • *****

Our official go-to for boba in the area. My co-workers and I have been working our way down the menu and so far everything has been great! Love that they have a loyalty program because it really works in getting me to come back. We used to be Sharetea customers but since that's been getting worse and worse, STEEP is a no brainer! The service is friendly and their selections are varietal but not all over the place. Bonus points for having Acai and Pataya bowls, extra kudos for allowing us to split without charging us extra hence: Woohoo! As good as it gets! Keep it up STEEP.

Quick tip: Their default ice and sweetness level really is just right...adjust accordingly :)

  • *****

I had the oolong milk tea today and it was really good. The boba taste so fresh the employees were so nice. Place was clean looks trendy service was almost top notch drinks were ready in less then 2 mins. Locations was kind of hidden in an alley off Bryant street between 3rd and 4th street.

  • *****

A few hours after I wrote my initial review, the owner of Steep, Angela, reached out to me to remedy the situation. Not only did she apologize for my experience but she told me to stop in any time and to ask for her by name, the next drink would be on the house.

It took me awhile (two months, to be exact) to make it back in to Steep, but I stopped by the other day. I asked for Angela and even though it had been so long, she came out, instantly knew who I was, and gave me a few different recommendations to order.

My roasted oolong tea with boba was delicious. The boba wasn't as chewy or bouncy as others I've had but it was a large tea and overall, I enjoyed it.

    Thanks Angela!

  • *****

I really like Steep and have been there 8 times. I most often get the Wintermelon Lime tea, which has a unique flavor, tastes fresh, and is just the right size. I like adding the Boba (which are perfect slightly chewy texture and have a nice flavor that is sweet but not too sweet) and the Lychee Jelly (which also has a perfect texture that goes well with the Boba). I order it with no sugar, which is great as the beverage is refreshing and not too sweet.

I have also tried some of the other flavors of tea, which I didn't like as much, and had the milk tea once, which was fine for milk tea but not my personal preference.

I had one bad experience here when I think they gave me both the wrong flavor of tea and sweetened it as well. I didn't want to go back and complain because I was in a hurry.

The staff are great, and the presentation is excellent. There are usually a few people in line, but it is pretty quick. Definitely a favorite boba tea place! Would love it if they added a bit more boba and jelly per serving (especially because it is a $0.50 addition) but probably ok.

They have Apple Pay and a loyalty card where buying 9 beverages get you a 10th for free.

  • *****

I've been meaning to stop by STEEP for the longest time. I heard all about their pitaya bowls and I had to try them. I came with few with friends for lunch and we all ordered for pitaya bowls. It was so so good, so refreshed. If you haven't had it before, it's the same idea as Acai bowls. It has the same thick consistent except for $8.25 you get a huge portion. They give you so much fruits too! For this price, you probably wont get the same amount elsewhere in San Francisco. Definitely coming back!

  • *****

Finally got the chance to come here on a Friday afternoon before work. The store is a bit tiny but it's very cute! I ordered a passsion fruit green tea. Very refreshing. Also ordered an acai bowl!! I love fruits. It was delicious and filling. So worth the price you paid for which is 8$. Will definitely come back again and try their other drinks and possibly the pitaya. Another plus side to this place is that they're now opened on weekends!!

  • *****

Not amazing, but gets the job done. Quick service. Smell is p amazing when you walk in the store though (yumm boba)

  • *****

Come for the pitaya bowl! $8 for a 24-oz serving of pitaya plus granola and fresh fruit is actually a great deal in this crazy city that we live in, where acai bowls often start at $10.

STEEP is located on a side street where there isn't much foot traffic, but it's worth the detour. It's a tiny spot serving pitaya and acai bowls, bubble teas, cold-pressed juice concoctions, coffee (including cold brew), and pastries. Their menu is quite unique and very reasonably priced for the area. Their bubble teas seem to be popular, and they offer interesting flavors like Chrysanthemum tea.

The pitaya bowl is beautiful. That gorgeous magenta hue makes it (almost) too pretty to eat. I like that they layer granola on the bottom as well. Mine had bananas, strawberries, kiwi, blackberries, and dragonfruit (pitaya), as well as coconut flakes. So good and fresh.

Even though it's not at all on my way to work, I might need to stop by more often for the pitaya or acai bowls or a bubble tea.

Delicious milk tea with other interesting flavors on the menu! I used to come to this place all the time when it was Two Fish Bakery. I was sad to see Two Fish go, but STEEP is a pretty great replacement, especially since there aren't a lot of bubble tea places in the area!

I got the roasted oolong milk tea with boba, and my friends got the jasmine milk tea and mango fruit juice with boba. Each one was delicious and I loved that the jasmine milk tea had a very strong jasmine flavor. The mango fruit juice was nice and sweet, but not overly so and had little mango bits in it. The tapioca balls were also nice and chewy, not too soft and not too hard, which is pretty hard to achieve.

Other things they have on the menu include regular coffee/espresso, matcha latte, mango coconut smoothie, and parfaits and pastries for snacking. The two women working there were really friendly and got our teas ready quickly, which is a huge plus when you're just looking for a quick snack break during the workday. I definitely am coming back here to try the other flavors!

Great place to take a break from work and have a cold drink. They make the best Shakerado if you like iced coffee. One of these days I will try their tea and smoothie drinks that they are known for.

Only tried the acai cup as it was highly recommended but it was AMAZING!!! It was my first time having acai and I must say it was delicious. Generous amount of super fresh fruits (strawberries, kiwis, blueberries, bananas), granola and acai. Their pitaya cup looks amazing too.

Cute little establishment with super friendly staff. It's pretty far from my work place and out of my way but I will definitely be coming back!!!

    Update:
Came back the next day for the pitaya cup! Never tried pitaya but it's really good. Once again it came with super fresh fruits and granola. The generous serving and unique taste make it worth the $8.

With so many new boba joints popping up in SF, this is my new favorite!

STEEP is extremely affordable and underrated considering the prices of other places in San Francisco. My boyfriend and I were able to order a large cup of honey green tea with boba and chrysanthemum tea with boba for $8 (no tax!)

The service here was quick and the cashier was friendly. When we received our teas, we could literally taste how fresh our drinks were. I believe the teas were brewed on the spot and they were both the perfect level of sweetness. I'm a harsh critic when it comes to boba but it was cooked to perfection and soooo good.

The honey green tea and chrysanthemum tea were both very refreshing. I definitely recommend coming to STEEP if you're looking for some cheap and high quality boba in SF!

I guess I can kiss my washboard abs good bye. I was trying to stick to a boring healthy lifestyle but STEEP just so happened to open next to Darwin Cafe (a place I sometimes go to for healthy lunches). If STEEP was just 1 more block further, it probably would have flew past my radar but now that it's within reach, afternoon breaks to STEEP is in my future. Or so says my fairy godmother.

I tried the Roasted Oolong Milk Tea and yes, it is good. I opted for no boba (see above about healthy) and it was a great pick-me-up for my afternoon coding session. Next time, I'll try the Thai Tea since the cashier lady says that and the Roasted Oolong are the two most popular drinks. I'll remember to bring my stamp card so I can work towards the perk of a free drink.

Great coffee/tea/boba spot in soma. The interior is pretty small but clean and bright. There is some seating inside and a few tables outside as well. They've got all the fixings you need for your coffee like syrups and soy/almond milk. The size of the drinks are pretty big too so you get your $$ worth. I'd recommend the Thai tea and Chai tea. Love that they have acai cups here too - looking forward to trying that the next time I'm here!

  • *****

What's atomic pink in color and absolutely delicious? Steep's Pitaya Cup! Pitaya aka dragonfruit is certainly a new thing to me, and now that I've had it, I'm certainly coming back for more. Sure there's a ton of places in the city now that do Aai bowls, but Pitaya cups are still a novelty. The Pitaya Steep "Cup" is actually in a 24 oz plastic cup, and is topped off with fresh fruit and delicious granola. Serving up Equator coffee, I also had their cold brew, which is sealed similarly to boba tea. The coffee was OK and did its job in helping me get my caffeine fix, but the star of the day was definitely the Pitaya Cup. Hunt this place down on Ritch Street - it's really worth the effort!

  • *****

Finally got a chance to stop by after hearing so many good things about this place. Tried the acai cup and my favorite go to drink passion fruit green tea. The acai cup did not disappoint, it's a super healthy goodness cup all in one with lots of fruits, granola, and acai so i highly recommend if you're looking for a quick fix. The passion fruit green tea was refreshing, I've tried alot everywhere but I could tell they use real tea and not added syrup to make it taste good.

Service was good and the staff were friendly, I definitely will be back to try other drinks on the menu!

Holy cow, I don't think I've ever had such a creamy, delicious taro milk tea. Located in a small alley in SoMa by well-known eateries like HRD, Garaje, and Picnic on Third, this is where I'd suggest you go for a post-meal dessert. It's easy to miss and the parking is still crap, so I suggest taking a walk over (you'd probably need it.)

This one-size, $4.50 drink is made with milk from Straus Family Creamery, which produces some of the most delightfully pure and creamy milk I've ever had. It's fairly sweet at 100%, which is my preference, but for people who crave more of that taro flavor, I suggest going down to 75 or 50%. The boba is chewy and perfectly sweet, and they offer other options like jellies and crystal boba. The acai and pitaya bowls I saw also looked decent, albeit a bit small -- but that's SoMa for ya.

Service was super fast and there's plenty of seating around to finish your drink, including rolling tables. Sit back, relax, and enjoy.

Yassss... Finally made it back here a couple more times and decided it was a good time to update my review! This really is a good boba spot and probably not my choice for coffee.

    HOWEVER, I WOULD recommend :

    - Milk black tea with boba
    - Peach oolong milk tea with boba (with less sugar)

Both are REALLY good. They do boba well and you can totally tell. I would say this place is the Philz of boba, each cup seems to be crafted with care and they have a lot of people working their different stations; coffee, boba, acai cups. Aside from being the only place in between SoMa and Mission Bay for boba, it would stand up against the slew of boba spots that have emerged in FiDi/Union Square over the last year.

They've definitely come up in my book and would definitely recommend. The only place for improvement would be how it is on the slower side of taking and prepping orders. I am used to grabbing boba on the go with relatively short wait times and I've had to wait noticeably longer every time I've been here.

    GOOD BOBA ALERT!

Okay, but seriously, it's so hard to find good boba in the city, so when you finally find a place with great boba, it's like you hit the jackpot!

I ordered the chrysanthemum tea (75% sweetness) with boba and it was delicious! I do think that 75% sweetness was still a little too sweet for me, but it's good quality tea (the flowers were still in the cup!) and the boba was perfectly chewy. Would recommend if you like chrysanthemum tea, but I think next time, I'll try the taro latte and their classic milk tea and then update this review!

Steep is small with barely any parking, so I definitely recommend that you walk over here, but it truly is a gem!

Omg! I love this place. I finally found a good boba spot near my work place. The interior of the shop is super nice and comfy. Staffs were so nice and helpful. When I got there, I didn't know what to get, but I wanted something refreshing. The cashier was super friendly and recommended Mango Fruit Tea with boba, and I loved it! The sweetness was perfect and boba was yummy!!! Definitely recommend this boba spot if you're around the area. I can't wait to try other drinks! :)

Nice bobs next to work. Great service, good quality. Should have more options in teas

Was looking for some milk tea where I was, and I stumbled on Steep while browsing Yelp. The store is not on a main street, so I ended up missing it the first time I tried finding it.

Ordered the roasted oolong with boba. Steep has similar offerings as some other boba places (offering a few different tea options, adjustable sugar amount, etc.), as is at least on-par with the others.

It's not as cheap as the chain boba places, but it's definitely reasonable price-wise, especially since there aren't a ton of boba places nearby.

The place is quite small, has a few seats indoors and outdoors but not enough for a large group.

They also offer baked goods, smoothies, acai bowls, and coffee that sounded good, so I'll have to go back soon to try them!

  • *****

Got the Pitaya bowl an it was SO good. Great way to start the day and reasonably priced!

  • *****

I'm so glad that this place is near my place. The drinks were great and prices were pretty good. I'll be going back several times in the future.

  • *****

Black Milk Tea 25% Sweet with Crystal Boba is darn tasty - strong, slightly bitter and quick. I found Steep on my ongoing epic to find Boba before work, but found that they only serve classic boba after 10 AM.

  • *****

People in the office love this place. It's cute and hidden. In a high priced area like this, it is an affordable boba place that's close to offices.

I recommend the roasted oolong with boba, 25% sugar is enough.

There are a few seats inside and out, and the place usually gets packed with people at around 3 pm somehow.

Orders are usually quick and you don't taste the caffeine as much as other places like boba guys, but with their espresso shot for extra, - BOOM coffee hits you in the face hahaha.

  • *****

Cute little acai, smoothie, tea and coffee shop down Ritch alley.

I ordered the acai smoothie with chia seeds and boba and enjoyed it.

My friend ordered the milk tea and said it was a bit heavy on the tea but it was still good.

There are a few seats inside and some outside. I saw several dogs come by and order during my visit! I love any dog friendly cafe!!

The acai bowls look great so i will be back to try them!

  • *****

Acai bowls, pitaya bowls, boba. So many of my favorite things all in one place. The portions are huge, everything tastes great, and best of all, it's in soma in walking distance of where we live (there's sadly very little good Asian food or boba tea otherwise). Minus one star for the fact that they have very odd hours and never seem to be open anytime after 4pm or 5pm, particularly on the weekends. Steep, please stay open longer so I can get boba more often!

  • *****

Great lil place with great drinks and pitaya bowls, determined to try everything! Good thing they have a points system.

  • *****

THIS PLACE IS BOMB! Forget your chain boba places or places that try to sell you $12 Acai Bowls. Steep is a great hidden gem in SOMA.

I wanted to celebrate Valentine's Day for my company and ordered our employees 60 Acai + Pitaya bowls the day before Vday. Angela and Alvin accommodated my last minute request like it was no big deal and were super responsive. This is how to run a business people - superb customer service. Our employees went crazy over them and I was happy since these health nuts that I work with appreciated it.

I rarely write reviews so you know this is definitely worth it! Steep does not disappoint.

  • *****

I once spent my whole lunch hour waiting in line for iTea, only to be disappointed in my takeaway. My experience at Steep is the exact opposite. At this hidden gem, I ordered a taro milk tea with clear boba (agar boba) and a thai milk tea with classic boba 15 minutes before closing. It was created instantly.

Especially since it's walking distance from my house, I'm eager to try more of what they have to offer!

  • *****

I had been stopping by here for a while now to get my cappuccino fix on my way in to work. The coffee and drinks are good, as well as the acai cups and bowls, but what make this place shine is the service. Everyone here is really friendly, and they've even gotten to know my name and regular order, sometimes even starting it before I make it through the door. Stopping in here definitely makes the commute pleasurable.

  • *****

It's really hard to pin point the taste of pataya (dragon fruit) but the blended mixture (includes frozen mango) is sweet with no tartness. The ratio of fruit puree and toppings (berries, banana, granola and dry coconut) was just right. There weren't any bites at the end that didn't have some small morsel of granola. Overall, a very filling option for breakfast or an afternoon snack.

  • *****

Happy this place exists, since it's just a short block and a half away from my office woohoo!

I've been here several times, and one of my fave drinks to order here is the coconut mango smoothie with boba, which tastes like it's blended with real coconut (you can even taste small chunks of it in the drink!). This drink is on the sweeter side so if that's not your jam, you might want to ask for it to be made less sweet.

I've also gotten the acai bowl here a few times for lunch, which at $8.25 is a crazy deal for the large portion size. It's chock-full of fruit and tastes delicious without the guilt (since acai is a superfood and all).

Definitely stop by for a refreshment or snack!

  • *****

Ordered Roasted Oolong with Regular Boba and it was a solid quality drink. You can customize it with sugar and ice levels. The menu has other flavors of tea too that I need to go back and explore like ex: Taro. There are also Acai bowls and an extensive coffee bar.

Only qualm is that it took ~12 mins for them to make our boba drinks. Good drink, just hella long wait for a one.

  • *****

Seriously amazing! If this place was close to my work place, I'd come here everyday!

I love their Pitaya Bowl -- So fresh and the portions are generous. You'll feel so energized and refreshed after having one of these... I kept mine in the fridge for a night because I couldn't finish it and the consistency was still good on day 2! & They use purely organic fruits, which is a huge plus!!

Their drinks are great as well!
So far, I've tried their Matcha Latte & Jasmine Milk Tea and they did not disappoint. You can also ask them to adjust your drink sweetness when ordering.

    Don't forget to sign up for their loyalty program. (;

  • *****

been craving thai tea lately and STEEP saved the day. It's creamy but not overly creamy but light at the same time too! I've had it at other places where its just a bit too bitter when asked for it unsweetened. I get that traditional thai tea is made with condensed milk but it doesn't have to be bitter when u ask for it unsweetened!

  • *****

I love eating healthy. I'm glad I found a place to get my healthy snack after a long walk with my dog.

I order the Chia seed pudding parfait but I should I have replace Greek yogurt with strawberry yogurt but it still taste delicious.

It has good source of protein and fiber. It fills you up for a long period time. I can't wait to try the Matcha bowl.

  • *****

Tucked cozily away on Ritch street alleyway.

It's a pleasant coffee and boba tea shop that serves up acai bowls as a slight surprise, smoothies and juices!

Register for stamp card electronically and get the 9th one on the house.

There is outdoor seating. It's a hipster place.

They serve up matcha tea for the win.

    Ayce spot.

  • *****

Great stop for boba tea, smoothies, and snacks.

  • *****

Best buck for your dollar! Averaging about $4.50 a cup of boba milk tea (24oz), very strong tea flavor and the consistency of boba was on point. Chewiness and sweetness of tapioca was perfect. Also serves juices, smoothies, yogurt, acai/pitaya bowl.

  • *****

I'm glad I came and tried this place out. It's tucked within a side street that I wouldn't normally go down. Searching for an acai bowl place brought me here. The pitaya (dragonfruit) bowl was solid and great for the $8.25 price. The consistency of the bowl was on the watery side so if you like it thicker you could probably ask. I noticed many people were getting the boba or coffee and chilling at the few small tables outside but don't drink caffeine myself. It smelled good though! Definitely seems like a nice place to relax and chat with a friend or colleague.

Great little Boba place. Gets -very- busy around 3-4pm, but worth it.

Friendly employees w/ helpful suggestions are always a plus do thank you to the staff at STEEP!

Get the taro latte. The perfect blend of taro w/ milk heated in a up of perfection. And just the right amount of sweetness helped.

    DRINK:
Thai milk tea w/ boba - good flavor, boba could've been cooked a little longer

    EXPERIENCE:
It was impossible finding time to try STEEP because they were only opened on weekdays but it wasn't until recently that they changed their hours and opened on Saturdays, sweet. I was waiting inside for my friends drink and another customer walks in. A few minutes later, a homeless person walks in and asks for water at which the kind staff at STEEP filled up her empty coke bottle. But then, she starts to linger around in the store scaring off the customer. The customer runs out and stands near my friend who was waiting outside. I stood there and waited as the homeless lady approaches me and starts mumbling about an image on a postcard next to the cash register. "It's a fruit" I responded. As she inched closer to me, I inch back then I started to notice we were dancing in the store. I move back and she moves towards me, I move left and she mirrors my movement. I think she was lonely and was looking for a friend.

Friendly staff. This whole thing made me wonder why the customer ran out. Yes, there was a homeless in the store but you can't really make the assumption that she was a bad person because of her situation. You should give each individual the benefit of the doubt...until your concerns have been proven true.

Cool spot in the neighborhood. It's really nice there's another option this part of town that isn't just coffee.

They have boba, smoothies, juices, acai bowls, and yes coffee. All pretty good.

Drinks are rather big so they're definitely shareable.

Buy 9 drinks, get one free.

Just a few tables outside - not much for a sit around and linger place.

Oolong milk tea is good.

  • *****

I think this is one if the few boba places located near the ballpark. I'd say this place has fairly good drinks, I certainly have had better but I've also had much worse.

I like that their regular sweetness level is not too sweet. I had a thai tea with boba, and I expected more thai tea flavor to punch through. Boba was not over cooked, pretty good chewiness.

I had a sip of the regular milk tea and it didn't really have that classic black tea taste. It was sort of light to the point where I thought it was green milk tea. I did like that it was not too sugary.

If I was in the area I'd definitely come here to fulfill my boba cravings, but I wouldn't say this is my go-to spot.

  • *****

Stumbled upon this place when I was searching for a cafe around AT&T Park. It's a cute little shop with lots of seating and FREE WIFI! This place is a mix between a boba shop and a juice bar - their menu covers everything from sugary boba drinks to healthy acai bowls.

Located in a small one-way alleyway, it's a little hard to find and don't expect to find parking nearby (as with anywhere else in SF). I got their lemonade with no sugar, expecting it to be extremely sour like most other places, but it was surprisingly sweet with bits of lemon pulp! I would say it's one of the best no-sweetener lemonades I've had. The cup was also huge. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with outlets. Two wooden bars are outside for groups and there's two small tables inside to escape the windy alleyway. Will be back whenever I'm in the area!

  • *****

Steep is hole in the wall place off of Ritch Street. It is close-ish to the Giants stadium and is great for boba, smoothies, coffee, tea and acai bowls! I am personally a big fan of the acai bowls!! They have great toppings (fresh fruit assortments and granola). The acai is a bit on the tart side, but it balances really well with the fruit and granola. I like to think it is healthy and they give a huge portion!

  • *****

Got a pitaya fruit cup for the first time and it was really tasty! I want to try the acai cup next time. There was a good amount of granola, strawberries, blueberries, and banana in there.

I got stopped on the street twice by strangers asking me where I got my magical bright pink drink! It's so bright, it must be healthy right?

The place is located on a little side street between 3rd and 4th, so you probably wouldn't walk by it on a normal basis. The place is really cute and clean though and there are a few spots to sit down.

  • *****

    Mmmm, dragonfruit!

I'm so glad there's one of these coffee & tea shops near work. This place just opened recently about 2 months ago, and I think it has great potential. It's about 2-3 blocks from the Caltrain stop, super convenient, and it's also kind of tucked away into a small street alley. I say give this place a try.

I got the Pitaya Steep Cup w/ almond butter (50 cents extra).

Wow, I don't think I've ever eaten something so vividly pink/magenta before. Very unique and eye catching to say the least. The pitaya cup is a blend of dragonfruit w/ granola and fresh mixed fruits on top. They're very generous in the portion size, and the cup overall tastes really nice and looks presentable. $8 for a 24. oz cup is a more than a reasonable price. Even one of these can be your entire breakfast meal. Next time I'll try the Chrysanthemum tea, a milk tea, or even a coffee.

    Someday soon, I'll be back.

The most dangerous thing that could happen is a boba/coffee shop opening right next to my office. In comes... STEEP (opened on MLK Day)! In fact, STEEP is so close that we can see the storefront from our office on the fifth floor.

STEEP serves everything from coffee, teas, milk teas, smoothies, acai cups, and more. Prices range from $3-8. They are open from 8am-5pm, so it's a perfect place to pick up breakfast or an afternoon pick me up.

My favorite drink so far has been the Peach Oolong Milk Tea with boba. The tea is brewed when ordered, so you can get that distinct flavor. They do have a stamp card (Buy 10 Get 1 Free), but it's only for teas and milk teas!

Because of the location and the quality of their drinks, STEEP has become a staple for me and my coworkers. ...Very dangerous for my waistline!

  • *****

Distance will not stop me from trying new boba places, like STEEP, which is a mile away from where I work (and I'm a block away from 5 other milk tea places).

They offer coffee and some food, as well as some interesting acai and pitaya cups. In terms of milk tea, this place DOES NOT disappoint!

My Thai Milk Tea ($3.75, toppings are an extra 50 cents) tasted like how they make them at legitimate Thai restaurants (black tea, star anise, condensed milk, poured over ice). There is absolutely no powder taste, and at 25% sweetness, the flavor is still prevalent. My friend's Jasmine Milk Tea ($3.50) is another great option, as the aftertaste that is usually prevalent in most jasmine MT drinks is there too. Although there isn't much to choose from (at least, not like they do at iTea or ShareTea), all the milk tea drinks they have are solid.

STEEP is a great, solid option for milk tea within walking distance for those working in the area. You don't have to walk all the way to the Metreon for Sharetea! Or rely on Postmates to deliver Boba Guys for you.

While scoping out coffee shops on Yelp, I came across Steep. I was drawn in by the pictures of their pitaya/aai cups.

The place is a little hard to find if you're not looking for it. It's just a few steps away from Darwin Cafe on Ritch. (But tbh, Ritch is more like an alleyway.)

I ordered the pitaya cup but you have the option to put it in a bowl, which is much easier to eat imo. The display is a lot better too. I also ordered a turkey and cheese croissant in case the pitaya bowl didn't fill me up.

The pitaya bowl, while wasn't the best, was pretty good. I liked the presentation and the amount of fruits in my bowl. However, the pitaya was a little runny. They probably could've used a little more ice when blending it. The bowl was surprisingly filling. I mentioned above that I ordered a croissant as well but ended up eating it for dinner. I'd definitely get the pitaya bowl again, but I also want to try the aai bowl and their boba too.

STEEP has immediately become one of my favorite boba places in San Francisco. I was initially looking for a place to take a phone call and get some work done, but I was also craving boba... then again I'm ALWAYS craving boba. I found STEEP on Yelp and wandered over. The barista was super friendly and helped me choose the Aloe Aloe drink off their menu. So good! Their serving sizes are very generous. Everything else on the menu sounded amazing, so I'll have to come back and work my way down the drinks and snacks, including their acai and pitaya cups.

There's two tables inside STEEP with electrical outlets, and there's also plenty of seating right outside, which is perfect for sunny San Francisco days. As I sat outside and did my work (oh and they have strong WiFi connection!) I could see regulars coming back to STEEP and ordering their usual and even bringing new customers to try this place. There's something magically welcoming about STEEP. Whatever it is, I love it and it will keep me coming back!

  • *****

I went on a first date here a while back. He suggested either Philz or STEEP and I had no idea there was a legit boba place so close to my office. Being Asian (and a Yelper), of course I had to go with STEEP. I ordered a Thai tea with boba and it was delicious. There's not a ton of seating and we started at a table outside but we soon realized that the San Francisco "summer" is too brutal for our cold tea drinking activity.

We then moved inside and from a date perspective, let me tell you, this is not a good place. There is no space to talk with any semblance of privacy. Speaking of privacy, as we were sipping on our boba drinks, my coworkers came out of nowhere. I'm still not sure if they were trying to stalk me on my date or if they were just so excited to hear about this boba place nearby.

  • *****

Steep has the best bang for your buck for an acai bowl! I returned for the first time in 3 months and I'm so happy to see they switched to a bowl and now they add WAY more toppings! The acai part is still a little on the tart side, but I think that's a good thing.... that means they aren't adding sugar or extra sweeteners.

The acai bowl is HUGE and topped with fresh bananas, strawberries, kiwi, and lychee. Amazing!

  • *****

"I knew I loved you before I met you.."

Only appropriate to channel some Savage Garden because I really did love STEEP way before I met (tried) it.

Had this place bookmarked for DAYS before finally getting the chance to come here. It's a journey for me. Since they're only open on weekdays from 8-5, I ninja my way out of work and take Caltrain straight to here. Shhhhh...

Their acai and pitaya cups (actually served in bowls) are a work of art and taste just as good as they look. For $8, that's a steal. So much variety of fruit and SOOO GOOD!

Tried the fresh taro and peach oolong milk teas too and they were good, not too sweet, but also kinda watery? Anyway, that don't matta - I love the bowls!!!

  • *****

Huge, huge, huge fan of this place! They are definitely a hidden gem in the Soma area, and a great shop to visit if you are in the mood for any coffee or boba drinks. It's a great place for a midday break, and this store has drawn in quite the crowd since it opened. Even with a line, I find everything moves along pretty fast too (so definitely check this place out even if it looks packed!).

My favorite drink here is the Matcha Milk Tea with boba. Although I take everything with regular sweetness, you have the option to customize how much sugar you want in your drink (for those who are sugar conscious). The people who work here are also awesome, and super friendly - all the more reason to come! I'll definitely be back here again and again.

I wanted a boba tea, but I wanted to try a new spot. STEEP has been in my bookmarks for some time, but the walk from Downtown to SoMa always felt daunting. I finally sucked it up and walked here last Wednesday, July 20th and arrived around 2:45pm.

There was a line when I arrived, but it moved relatively fast. I ended up getting a Roasted Oolong: iced ($3.50), add Boba (+$0.50), Herbal jelly (+$0.50). The tea had wonderful flavor and was nice and strong. The herbal jelly was smooth and the coffee jelly silky and firm. The boba, however, was hard. I don't know if it's usually that consistency here, but I like my boba soft and chewy. The boba here was hard in the center. My jaw got a work out while eating it. Other than that, my tea was lovely.

Great teas, but you gotta like hard balls to enjoy their boba. Pun intended.

New office is literally a block away - definitely getting too much boba nowadays... But is there really such thing as too much boba?!

Typically I will get their Roasted Oolong Milk Tea with Boba and Half Sweet, and have been mixing it up with the Thai Tea. Both are great and the boba is always fresh with the right amount of sweet, however once out of the half a dozen times of getting the oolong, the tea was way over-steeped and incredibly bitter. They also have a frequent buyer 'stamp card' reward program that is pretty funny since it uses an actual stamp on an ipad in the store, but hey, I've gotten 1 free drink so far, so no complaints! Next time I'm trying the Matcha Latte!

Came to this place on the recommendation of a friend. Got the roasted oolong milk tea with crystal boba, and an espresso shot. I got 25% sweet and my girlfriend got the normal sweetness. Both sweetness levels tasted fantastic, and the flavor of the tea and the espresso was delicious. I haven't had dirty milk tea before and I left wondering why more places don't do it.

My girlfriend also got an acai bowl, which was a little tart for her tastes. I thought it was pretty good -- not on the level of basik cafe, but I liked the variety of fruits (strawberry, banana, raspberry, blueberry, blackberry).

I'd definitely come back to this place, the staff was friendly and the espresso+tea was amazing. As a note, parking was a pain in the ass. It's on a tiny one way street, and this area is commonly super traffic-y, so if you come with a car prepare for a hassle.
